I promised to give you a little peek into some Christmas gifts that I have been making for friends and family. Now obviously I cannot reveal too much :o), but some close-ups should be okay...
I have to say that I have enjoyed getting an early start on my gifts this year, and I have immensely enjoyed making my gifts. I was completely inspired by my dear friend Jenny. We get together every fortnight for the children to have art lessons with a tutor together. While they sketch and paint, we chat about our latest projects and creative dreams.
It is good to have a friend in my life who is so similar in so many ways and shares the same creative dreams ;o).
Ooooh - exciting news {for us at least}, we are off to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate later on this month. Jenny has been a few times before, but this is my first time! We are taking our daughters along with us - and I my husband {so that he can take my youngest and do some sight seeing in Harrogate when she gets board - she does not find yarns and fabrics as captivating and enthralling as Miss V-L and I do!} - and are going to have a whole day of browsing stitchy and yarny things - heaven!
I have resisted the urge to add to my yarn and fabric stash this month - but only until the show comes round :o) Perhaps that is why DH wants to come along!!!! To keep a level head and tight reign on his wife's spending LOL.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Blessings,
Shirley
Have fun!! I hope you are inspired and maybe buy a little something for yourself. I wish I knew the secrets of the gifts!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely time in Harrogate. All your crafts are looking lovely, I haven't made many gifts this year but I am once again enjoying my knitting.
ReplyDeleteIf you did make Yarndale next year it would be lovely to finally meet up with you!
