Yarn Along :: Autumn Notebook

Joining Ginny today for Yarn Along

I think I will start with what I am reading today as I seem to have quite a bit going on on the needles.

I checked two books out of the library last week by a new-to-me author, Tasha Alexander. These books are part of what appears to be a series set in Victorian times. Our heroin is no shrinking violet. If there is a murder to be solved - she's up for the challenge! I am enjoying the book so far - light reading, just what I need to finish off these busy days!

Now for some yarny goodness! I have finished the back and front of DH's Weekend Pullover and I have made good progress on the first sleeve. I have altered the patter slightly by adding a K2 P2 ribbed cuff - which the future wearer requested ;o).

One dishcloth for the Christmas stash is now complete and I have started a festive red one. These are quick knits so I plan to have it finished this afternoon.

Last share for today is another crochet blanket. This is going to be a lap-blanket for the car. We make our way across the Pennines fortnightly to our homeschool co-op, and during the winter months the girls complain about being cold. I don't like to have the heater on too warmly as it has a tendency to make me rather drowsy. Not a good thing when you are behind the wheel! I am using my usual stripy pattern (see here and here), this time we are going for autumnal colours ;o)

That's about it for this weeks link-up - have a lovely Wednesday ;o)

  1. Great looking pullover!! We used to carry blankets in the car for our girls when they were smaller, too. They still grab some when we go on longer car trips. :-)
