Poor blog! It has been neglected this month. We have been busy though, we have been out enjoying nature as we do, admiring the delicate beauties of a spiders web on a rainy day and rolling down wet hills...
We have been doing some hands on science...
The Spring Equinox came and went in a haze of grey cloud and drizzly rain, but we brightened up the home with some lovely daffodils...
and more recently, we have been enjoying lots and lots of beautiful clear, warm, sunny days...
We are on day 4 now! Yip, 4 days of sunshine in a row. Friday was the first, we ditched the books and spent the entire day out in the garden. Reading, having a picnic, listening to the joyous songs of the birds and the gently hum of the bumblebee. The week-end saw what seemed like the whole of Britain out in the parks. On Saturday British summer time started as we turned our clocks forward before going to bed. Our days are now blissfully longer and children can be heard playing outside until 7pm. I just LOVE this time of the year. I remember March last year being quite special too. We have the promise of warmer days, brighter with our gardens springing to life...
the Easter hols about to start - Yay, Friday is the last day of 'school' - and the beautiful celebration of Easter right around the corner. Holy week is almost here and we have some fun Easter baking and crafts planned. Easter egg shopping has been done so I am feeling quite organised this year ;o)
To wrap up this 'catch up' post, I thought I would share a picture of cute little Cleo - she has been enjoying the warmer weather as much as we have and is constantly darting in and out of the house. We have been delighted with her antics as she dashes after garden insects, stalks the birds through the hedges (there's no chance of her catching one - the birds are far to quick for her!) and stretches out in the sunny warmth of our little lane. Here she climbed a tree and peeked out at us from behind the greenery...
Hope your early Spring is treating you as kindly as ours is ;o)
Happy spring to you! Lovely bright cheery photos. We had some really warm weather and today....brrr....COLD. Oh well, I did enjoy it while it was briefly here.
