An Early Summers Day

Oh my! What a gorgeous day it is today. We've reached temperatures in the early 20's (that's Celsius) and England seems to be flourishing. After the girls lessons today I pulled on my walking shoes and headed out for a little countryside walk.

There are wildflowers EVERYWHERE! I'm thinking that tomorrow our nature study time is going to have to be on wildflowers. The last time we did a wildflower study was in 2013 - where does the time go?

White Clover

Red Clover and Buttercups

Swathes of Cow Parsley

Fields and Fields of Buttercups

Oh that yellow! Makes me want to scoop it up and bottle it forever.

Wild Daisy's - I couldn't resist picking a small bunch for my mantle.

The Dog Roses are prolific at the moment. Think of all those rosehips in autumn.

Early June seems to be Yellow Flag  Iris season. What a display this year.

Now doesn't this buttercup field remind you of Little House on the Prairie?
Do you know - I don't think there is one season that I don't like. Each one has so much to offer, such variety. Each wears it's own unique cloak . As I walked along the way listening to the birds-song and  veering off the main path every-so-often to explore little-visited alcoves, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion at God's beauty that surrounded me. I love England, I love my home and I love this beautiful world that the Creator has blessed us with.

Blessings to you all on this beautiful Thursday...
