Trust Without Borders...

Some Faith pondering today :) ...

This morning a very dear friend of mine shared with me a song that is her inspiration for this new year. I can see why - the words are just beautiful and the echo the sentiments of many a Christians' heart I am sure. It echos the sentiments of my heart.

Daily life can often overshadow our walk with Jesus. I know that this is true for me. I desire to be a woman after God's heart. To live a life of love, grace, peace, and kindness. A life lived in devotion and service to my Savior. But so often our best intentions are thwarted by life and what it has to throw at us. In my heart I would love to be a woman who is able to rest in peace, in the safety of God's loving embrace in the midst of the fiercest storms. But I don't know if I would do so gracefully, or with total trust which brings peace. Still - the desire is there.

There is a line in this song that says,' Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders...' Imagine that! How awesome would that be? It thrills me just to think of it.

This year I want to learn to trust my Savior more, love Him more, serve Him with a humble heart - a willing heart, pray more. This year, I want to abide in Him and I want my life to reflect Him more. One day, when my time on earth is done, I want to be remembered as a Woman who loved God with all her heart, soul, and mind, and loved others. I want my life to have been a living testimony to my family and those around me.

Blessings in Christ

  2. Beatufiul thoughts, Shirley. I am so glad that you shared them. You and I are in the same place just now. I don't typically choose a 'word for the year', but if I did, this year it would be Trust. ♥
