Sharing A little Peace

Outside, the ground remains hard and cold under it's now frozen layer of snow. The icy blanket of white shows little sign of retreating. Sometimes my day's can feel like that - hard and unrelenting. This week we are into our second day of little grace being shown between siblings, difficulties in grasping a math concept and all the frustration that bursts out of the child as a result. Poor attention being given and an attitude of 'whatever' seems to be creeping in to each lesson. As I watch people take their dogs for walks - slipping and sliding on the icy surfaces, I feel that I too am slipping and sliding through each moment of my day. Never quite loosing control, but not quite in command either ;o)

From the Lord comes deliverance - Psalm 3:8
For the sake of gaining a little peace and sanity into my day, I stepped outside mid-morning into the bracing air to potter about my garden. I had no purpose other than to just not hear voices for 5 minutes - I'm sure you have those moments too ;o)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Bravely pushing up from under the snow, were little rays of sunshine and I was instantly reminded of the promise of beautiful things that come out of hard growing conditions.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28

Still later, as I gave us all a wee break, I retreated to my bedroom to share a quick, quite moment alone with the Lord. Once again He met me where I was at, and gave me a little peace, a little more strength to carry one in my high calling of teaching and parenting my children.

May the Lords Word bring comfort to you on your cold icy days ;o)
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11:28

Blessings in Christ
